Have your used this AP twin plate
The clutch in question is an AP lug type clutch CP7972-CH81-SF 6mm sintered clutch (2 x 4 puck)
The plates on these clutches are CP8401-A036H and CP8401-G036H.
These are listed as race / rally clutch where some slip is required, but I had thought needed ceremetallic for this purpose.
I was looking for clutch for fast road, track and some hill climb / drags ... Has anyone any info on what these are like compared to ceremetallic, how long they last also.
I had looked at getting this clutch and swapping to ceremetallic CP8600-A036H or CP8400-A036H , I think these are 1mm thicker than the others. They fit to CP7382-ch80-sf on burton power.
set up on 79 series appears to be 30.52-32.27 where as 84 series appears to be 34.64-34.71 - not sure if this 4mm difference is 4x1mm and the driven plates can be interchanged.
Any experiences much appreciated.
Here is a pic of item.
