Default bootlid lock

hi

can some one help me on the 1989 sierra cosworth 2wd did it have the pull cable down the side of the seat for the fuel cap /bootlid ? or was it just fitted to the later models

later facelift cars iirc
early cars sometimes had a button boot release-xr4 etc

Later models all 2wd have finger release on the flap.

Default its been added

so its been added to the car as i have the cable and pull release beside the seat but there is no latch for the boot and no fitting for the flap and its a pull flap

either been added or worst reshelled.

all vin number tally up with the shell and log book i think its just been add

Hope so but to be sure I would check very carefully around that area for welding and excessive underseal etc etc.

no welding around the floor pans all original floor

the boot/fuel cap release looks like its been added and never finished
