My experience of them is not good, poorly made and not very well engineered.

Admittedly I have altered an escort one to fit in my Cortina but that's only the mounting points, had loads of issues getting clutch to work with crap pedal ratios and brakes are poo which I also put down to the pedal box.

I think unless your doing an all out race car changing the pedal box can be a lot of hassle for not a lot of gain. I don't think any of the tilton boxes are going to be a straight swap there likely to need a fair amount of fab work to fit.

I have to say I got excellent service from CompBrake after speaking to David @ the Autosport show at the begining of the year.
I was after a dual master cylinder setup which bolted in place of the original ABS master cylinder which they did for many other cars off the shelf but not the Sierra.
He said no worries send me a ABS unit and I'll copy the bolt pattern and make you a custom one which he did for no more money than a stock item.
You can now buy a sierra one from CompBrake
And it's been faultless all season so much better than ABS setup.

With Compbrake it does depend on who you deal with.

I bought one , a direct replacement .... there was nothing direct about it , my brakes are crap and would cause you to crash , I called them and asked about fitting , and if they would do the job , and after giving them around £500 I am now taking it back out as its no good , I have no idea how they get away with selling this , trading standards wants to be giving them a talking to as its not as they say .

no not the same at all , which is strange but maybe its so they could say its direct replacement , as its basically just a standard peddle box modded to have the two master cylinders and balance bar

What you want is what I had above mate, it does just bolt straigh on you don't have to touch the pedals at all other than to disconnect the old rod and connect the new one.
