Default idle control valve

I just bought a complete throttle body with 4x4 plenum and inlet (for 20 quid well pleased) I'm at my work cleaning everything and I'm just curious would steeping the idle control valve in red diesel or petrol/2 stroke mix be ookay as that's all I have at work?.

Petrol or carb cleaner. I dont think 2 stroke oil will help any more. Have you taken the small nut and springs out and cleaned the piston bit up inc it's tiny holes??. An old tooth brush and sewing needle will do the trick.

Make sure the nut is in the same position you took it off in.

As above take it apart to clean it properly, soaking them in something doesn't always work or only works for a short time as it won't completely clean it around the piston where they get stuck
