Default Brembo brake upgrade?

Is the Focus RS Mk1 Brembo Caliper a worthwhile upgrade for a 2WD Saph?
And if so what disc is best to use with it?

Depends what size wheels your running Ade. focus discs are 324mm or you could use the St 170 discs which are 300mm. Remember 18"s where used on focus RS

330mm fits under 17s think its if you go 355mm then its 18s, watch the offset of the disc also

On 16s just now, but will be changing to 17s soon.

So Focus RS Mk1 discs are 324mm and should fit?

Also wondering if the calliper is actually better than the Cossie's original?
Would there be any benefit to using the Brembos over my already good (refurbed not too long ago) 2WD Cossie callipers?

Personally i think the std 2wd 4 pots are quite good. People complain about the fact they are too heavy but come on! Like its going to make that much difference on a road car.

The std discs are 24mm thick, so are the 300mm st170 ones so they should go on ok with a bracket to space the caliper out a touch.

The 325mm frs discs are 28mm thick so you will need to space the caliper apart. Hi spec used to make the spacers so may make you a set if you ask?

Alternatively you want a set of 24mm thick 3??mm discs with bells. Again i think hi spec can offer these as well as other brake manufacturers.

I recently upgraded from refurbed 2wd 4pots to Brembos with 330mm ap discs.

It stopped great on the original ford brakes, i just changed cuz im a tart for big brakes. No noticable difference tbh.

Were you not running std size discs with the original 4 pots? Going to 330mm should have made a massive difference?

I would have gone down the frs disc route but running rs7 spokes it won't work for me.

The only way i can see it working for me is by getting an offset disc and spacing the calliper inwards. I am happy to stay with the std 4 pots if its easy enough

The big concern in this setup is the rims. Need som sick offset to fit Wheels. now Im running 70mm spacers with 17" rims but thats most because to fit the Wheel arches
