Fitting 044 Fuel pump
Gonna have a look at fitting the Bosch 044 fuel pump soon, is it straightforward enough? Any special tools or anything thats needed? Thanks in advance

Last Time, Get Off PF FFS
You'll need a hose clamp to stop the fuel pouring out of the tank. Like this one.
Loads on eBay.
Use maul grips around the old pump as the nuts for the pipe to the filter will probably be a bugger to get off.
Here's how it should look when all fitted up prior to refitting if you have removed the cradle.
And back on the car. Replace mine with one I refurbed and lagged in waxoil.
Make sure you do the connections up at tight as you dare to avoid leaks. No specialist tools needed really.
Also be wise to rewire the pump if you haven't already done so and get a new filter on too.
