Question history of your car?

As above, just curious and something we've been talking about at work.., is there anyway of finding where your car was originally purchased from, which dealership etc and what extras if any it had? Can you find anything more out from just the VIN??

The vin can tell you where it was made, if it has original number plates then it'll have the dealers name on that more than likely as mine does, and I think something to do with the last 3 letters on your number plate has something to do with the location of the dealership could be wrong on that one though

If you have it, check the service book, first service should be the supplying dealer!?

I have a list printed out somewhere, of where the last two numbers of the Reg tell where it's from. eg VOX (OX) is Coventry. Obviously, only works if you know the original Reg No!
