That is like asking how long is a piece of string! It all depends on how much power you are after and how much you can spend . As others have said ,cylinder head up to group A specification, BD 12 or 14 inlet cam, maybe T38 turbo with billet compressor wheel, Siemens 83lb injectors , L8 ecu , custom chip and wasted spark ignition to name just some of the modifications you can make.
The higher the specc you want bear in mind other parts will also need upgrading.
Best of luck.
don't go t38 if you don't want lag lol mine not on full boost till 4700!
don't get me wrong it does the numbers but really laggy
mines from turbotecnics iv heard theres a few different companies making them not sure witch ones the best..
4700 I ve a tt on my car and no problem with lag ,
sounds like your engine is very low comp or cams not timed correctly,
def something not right somewhere
standard internals mate just bolt on bits like greys, bigger inlet, rs500 cooler, boost controller,L8 420 ponies at 21psi so cant be far off as iv been told they make 480ish at 30 psi .... their could be something wrong I guess but never thought anymore of it bud just thought it was laggy...and then some fpmsl
unless you want to change turbo i'd stick with what you have; just go for a set of siemens 55lbs or greys, new chip & more boost. 25psi is not getting the best out the turbo, you can safely run 32/33psi boost spike. (some people run more)
It would liven it up alot and make it alot more enjoyable

My 2wd Sapphire has got a CR turbos built T38 with a billet compressor wheel and it has virtually NO lag . Something doesnt sound right with your set-up if its really laggy and not on full boost till 4700rpm. I was pleasantly suprised with how fast mine spools up as I was told they can be laggy.
Lew get it checked out mate mine is std internals just rebuilt with a 500 big ported head 4x4 inlet man etc and it ain't much laggier than my old t34.63

clearly iv got problems then lol did you change your chip when you changed your turbo .... I still have the t34 chip witch now im wondering if that's coursing problems some how....but surely it measures the boost and adjusts the injector timing to suit???

No it don't.
Your lucky you have not melted your engine yet
You need a chip to suit, it pumps load more air than a T34.

Do not drive it hard, YOU WILL KILL YOUR ENGINE

Agree with you. I am amazed that some owners still dont realise that you cant just wack on a different turbo etc without doing all the other modifications that will be needed at the same time. Its a wonder he hasnt melted a piston!

been checked a few dozen times on the dyno fueling across the rev range is fine, been on quite a few high speed runs (privet property of course) no problems as of yet its not as if i just bolt stuff on guys its always checked every year
