Default 2wd for pots to fit rears anybody done this ?

Just been having a think and wondered if anyone had tried fitting the front original 4 pot calipers to the rear of a saff , as I found them to be a very good brake when I had them on the front

yea I know that, I was just saying , would be ok if you were using a bias valve or bigger brakes on the front

Did it about 15 year ago, great braking until you dip the clutch (2wd) then rears locked up.

Putting a restrictor in the line, had to take off most of the rear pressure, really negated the job of fitting them in the first place

Mine started locking up with 300mm kit and decent pads, so have had to run bog standard cheap rear pads now, no point in going bigger calipers.

i had advice from mike rainbird about fitting 4 pots to the rear of my 2wd saff and he told me very clearly i would end up in a ditch lol

he said its ok on a 4wd as the wheels are linked mechanically , but on a 2wd you firstly would have to fit a bias valve and you would have to bias it that much to the front that it would leave the 4 pots doing little or nothing on the rear .
