Default Cosworth running issues

I'm no expert so bear with me. I've had my cosworth for a year now and its been running perfect, never missed a beat. Yesterday it started stalling at the lights and then missing really badly and kangarooing, almost like running on 3 cylinders and chucking out black smoke? I just managed to keep it going long enough to get home. Any ideas?

Check the map sensor, sounds like the little pipe may have came off or snapped

Thanks Bram, it runs perfect from cold to warm only after 10 mins does it start to splutter and cut out? Would this still be the case?

Did you change all engine sensors (crank sensor, coolant temp etc.)?
And take a look at the coil, dizzy cap, phase sensor, leads etc.

Can you start the car easily again after cutting out?

Would it be the temp sensor, at the back of the head?

When I bought the car it said all new engine sensors in 2010.

Car keeps starting no problem when warm, just keeps cutting out, and missing badly when warm? Have to keep throttle at about 2000 rpm to stop stalling. And smells like its over fueling? Black smoke etc.

Booked in garage next Monday but not sure how easy these things are to diagnose?

Using the original dizzy or have you got a wasted spark ignition system? Common symptom in machines where an electrical component is worn and overheats.
Could also be something simple like a worn spark plug lead coming loose when it gets hot, or other electrical connector.
Not easiest to diagnose, but try disconnecting a sensor connector one sensor at a time, and see if the engine runs better.

Have a look at the small pipe that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold. The fuel pressure regulator might have a split diaphragm , causing it to send fuel down the pipe and flood the intake.

Check the multi-connectors on the bulkhead. These also produce weird problems.

They caused untold problems on mine, most annoyingly, idling at about 6000 rpm lol
Ended up chopping them out and soldering them up...

sounds like it could be the blue temp sensor on the back of the head.

I would also check the electrical connectors on the bulk head they cause loads of problems.

I had a similar issue, my fuel pressure regulator was sending fuel down the vacuum
