Default Fuels tanks

Are the cos saff and three dr very different ????, need a 3dr cos tank due to mine having no swirl pot and havin desperate surge easier to get a saff than. 3dr. And don't want to go to the hassle of a swirl pot and extra lift pump ???

It's for project trackshed so doesn't need to be pretty

Why dose your tank have no swirl pot? I fitted an after market cosworth tank in my saff with a swirl pot and it surged like fuck lol!
Had to fit swirl pot and second pump in the end

I took my o.e one off and replaced it with an after market one with a swirl pot in it that I had modded to aero fittings. My car has 500bhp never once surged on the o.e tank but surged like hell on the after market one

The aftermarket tanks are poo they have a metal type swirl pot which don't work very well and from what I have seen the pickup pipe is too high compared with the genuine tank.

Easy solution use a lift pump facet red top or holley blue to feed a external swirl pot to then feed inj pump. fuel rail return to other feed of swirl pot and top as a vent back to tank. If you cant get a std tank.

Or the other solution is a dohc tank which has pump inside, Just use and uprated pump.
