Good Afternoon,

Was hoping someone would be able to help me here!

I'm putting my engine back together and noticed that i have a gasket which is supposed to sit between the block and the PAS bracket.

Now, does anyone know if there's supposed to be a gasket here? In the workshop manual it mentions just to use gasket sealer and NOT a gasket, however i've been supplied one?

Could anyone advise please?

The gaskets are to do with Pinto engines. I *think* its for the fuel pump? I just used sealer on mine.

correct you can get them from burton power or just use sealer

I had this same confusion on mine, I had 2 sizes for the gasket, one much thicker than the other and it said to use sealant on 4wd.

If you look at the block I'm sure it doesn't actually need it, as said above it's a pinto thing

Yeah that's the one mate! It's like a thick plastic piece.

I assume you didn't use either then?

I think my block is drilled and did need a sealer? Could be wrong though lol

No mate I didn't use either, just sealant.

205 block requires sealing as it was were the mechanical fuel pump mounts and it has a hole for the plunger. 200 blocks don't have the hole.
