Block Oil Gallies & Main Bearing hole?
Excuse my ignorance here as i'm no expert but why does the YB oil gallies and main end bearing holes not line up?
I've noticed on most engine's the oil gallies line up perfectly with the bearing hole?

Not entirely sane
I've just noticed, the upper pictures are of a cap, this doesn't need an oil hole as the oil is fed from the block half of the bearing. The shell has a hole in it because that shell half is the same as the block shell half. The lower picture is of the block half, that's why you can see the oil drilling.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
The top 2 pictures are of a YB conrod and conrod cap, not sure why the bigend shells have the holes in tbh, maybe a legacy thing from the pinto, i believe some engine builders used to drill a hole in the conrod to get a jet of oil to squirt under the piston and maybe the hole is in the right place for that? and it's cheaper to make a one type fits all bearing than having one with and one without a hole.
But I digress yes it isn't uncommon for the main bearing holes not to line up 100% with the holes in the block, i've seen this with cosworth, mahle, vandervell, and ACL bearings, but is it the bearings that are made wrong or the blocks been machined wrong by Ford? In the end i don't think it really matters that much as it's only a tiny amount off.

Sorted it in the end thanks guys!
Was me just being abit of a tool. OCD kicked in and my mind started to doubt the work i'd done. Ripped my crank out just to check and they do indeed line up.
