What Spec battery for Cosworth
Im thinking of buying one of them Varta Blue batterys for the saph after seeing lots of good comments but Im not too sure what type I need. The current one is an 097 520 amp with no real issues but its time for a new one .
Any advice on this ?
Many thanks.
Mike

Not really too much choice as a lot of the manufacturers don't supply square terminal batteries anymore
I have a yuasa. 097 and it does the trick, I have a brand new motorcraft 097 battery but don't want to use it

Thanks for the replys , so round terminal is the way to go then. Makes me think about a wiring conversion that suits all round terminal batterys on Cosworths .

Can you still fit the live terminal spreader plate on with those converters?

If your are stuck with getting old type square terminal batteries, I got these terminals for the circle type battery from and Auto Factor and cut the wires where needed etc and used some distribution blocks for the rest of the loom. Less messy on the battery imo and better voltage.
