Default Rear beam bushes

The rear beam on my 3dr has been polybushed by a previous owner, I've read and been told that this is a bad thing to do due to the original bushes having a bearing in them so was considering either changing them back or getting another beam that's still got standard bushes in, but what effect do the polybushes have on the car?

Cheers, Karl

Its the trailing arm bushes that you shouldnt really poly bush, the big beam ones are fine to poly.

It's all polybushed James, the mounts and the arms, I know the mounts are ok to polybush, it just seems to vibrate a lot more than my old sapph used to under acceleration, my sapph went from standard beam with standard bushes to an adjustable beam with rose joint inner and outers on the arms and was always fine. Just wondered if this is one of the problems you get with polybushed rear arms?

Get that diff mount changed and replace the poly bushes in the rear arms with standard cossie ones.

Out of interest can you tell if the rear arms are poly bushed when you drive the car.Ive heard a few people say they cant tell the difference between the standard bushes and the polys.
