I might be interested in your GT30 Gary. That's if you want to sell it.

with the cossie manifold being open scroll it will loose a lot of the edge the efr series has imo.
my gt40 on rb27 doesn't run true twin scroll but being a straight 6 and the mani being divided 123 / 456 due to the firing order it keeps the pulses separate.
its only got a single wastegate that just runs off the both banks but imo that is irrelevant as the turbo has already spooled upto 1.7 bar before the gate opens and then lets the 2 flows collide by which time its irrelevant anyways as ive hit full boost and maintained it.
unless theres an open scroll t3 housing option I wouldn't bother, even then no doubt a proper twin scroll set up will help a lot especially on a 4 banger.

It is the turbine wheel (and the exceptional compressor) that makes this turbo work, although the twin scroll will help additionally.
Imo it is the ultimate turbo so far. for its intended use anyways

And according to the compressor map it can produce almost 40psi at the amount of air where the Cossie reaches 4000rpm; hence why Mark says he experience extreme amount of torque statically that is.
I think this turbo will change things as it will surely destroy any stock T5 and mt75

At the moment the car has a GT3071 fitted on the std 2wd manifold and its nice and drivable, I was going to adapt an ex gate 7064 with the larger ex housing onto the stock manifold and see how they compare. I had been told by the dealer that they're similar sized turbos but I haven't checked anything yet, my main reasons for wanting to try one is because they are now quite cheap to buy (comparable to the GT series) and readily available from UK suppliers.

Once you get over all the little bits that make it fit you will be stunned at the diff but do throw the 2wd manifold in the bin.

Mark,
Not that I am remotely disappointed with my end result, but how would mine of compared with a GT30, response and power terms?
For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, I am running a 7670 on a std 2wd manifold with modified trouser section.

Email me your graph and I will compare the diff.

what id like to see is a 7670 on a t3 and stock manifold, then on a t4 twin scroll manifold and see the difference.
have you done both yet mark on similar spec ybs or even evo lumps ?

I gave up doing single scroll turbo's a few years ago so I don't see myself making the effort to do a back to back on one.
