Any dyno sheets on the efr7064 yet? What would be the better fast road turbo for 500hp, 7064 or 7670?

Get someone who isn't in the trade to post them? I'm interested as I may fit one to my 500 if I can better the GT3071 I have right now but don't know a lot about them as I'm not focusing on that stuff any longer.

Its easy to beat the 3071 with a twin scroll 7064 you wont belive how good it is until you test it.

Do you have experience of a 7064 on a larger capacity YB ( mines 2300cc)? Are there various versions or just different exhaust housings??

Not on YB but I have a couple of the go, I have done lots of 7670 and 8374 on the Evo engine and would recommend the external gated versions for a big engine.
What power are you aiming for.

500 max really, I've used it at 400 hp (makes that at 1.1 bar) over the last couple of years as I've not had the time to map it further and it's very responsive but I'd swap to the newer turbo if it was way better.

I have the 1M power engine in my BMW 1 series and it is twin turbo, twin scroll and it drives like a normally aspirated car (3 litre straight six), nobody believes me but there is no lag at all and if someone hadn't told you it had a turbo would would just think it was a high power Na petrol. I am having a Borg fitted to my YB as we speak and as soon as I have the graphs I will show you. Mine will be turned down a bit as the engine is stock.

I would run either a 7670 internal or Ext and run1.8bar dropping it to about 1.6bar and will make 500hp really easy and be flowing cool air and give your intercooler a easy time,
It will have better spool than you have now and make the HP easy.

I think Im gonna go for the T4 0.92 7064 twin scroll internal gate, and even if I dont manage to hit the numbers illustrated (those are the result of some serious hard work and knowledge) it will still be wicked fast!

Ive seen some worrying news about BW leaving the investment cast turbine housings for traditional sand cast items which looks like **** in comparison.
Know anything about this, Mark? Are the investment cast ones still available?

They haven't made the investment ones for a year or so.

Thanks Mark, will buy one and give it a go..There's two exhaust housings by the look of it on the twin scroll, just need to make my mind up which one to try.

Go for 1.05 T4 twin scroll with external gate for your engine, This one will best suit what you want.

Cheers, I'm obviously going to need a manifold but am concerned about durability, do you have any feedback on yours? I don't use my car that often but when I do it normally entails a road trip abroad and don't want problems.

Take a look on the Escort forum on mine, They are 3mm thick tubes with billet collectors so they don't crack like the old 1.5mm manifolds others use.

How hard are you guys finding these to fit in the bay with the YB? I had quite a fun time fitting my tiny 6258 with the Lima.

I'd go external if you can. While the WGA design is VERY good on the EFR...external will always be better for flow and control.

The external have a larger turbine housing (1,05) hence its a bit slower than the internal (0,92)?

Mine is internally gated and the manifold had to be adapted to fit the pug 205 engine bay who's is already tight with the Cossie lump in there.....should be finished in a few weeks

Im torn between the 7064 and 7670. I dont want to loose the drivability of the car offered by the 7064. I believe the car will be and feel faster with the 7064 on the street, but then it will be maxed out at my desired powerlevel (about 500bhp).. I imagine it would need to be the T4 1,05 external gate version to go for in that case, and with the 7670, T4 0,92 internal.

Im looking for a really strong and responsive engine with max torque at about 4000rpm, and the 7670 dont produce as high boost at that rpm as the 7064.
I am always getting back to the 7064 when considering the pros and cons?

Mine will max at 500 / 520 BHP with some head work, cam and pistons speak to Mark at MAD as he can spec the one you need. 520 is flat out for my Borg but i asked mark to find the smallest for less lag and mine is the smallest that allows twin scroll.... which is the key.

I knew a very pretty girl call Katrina from Oslo, she was the nanny for Morton Harket, he used to live up the road from me and I got to "know" her down the pub.

Efr 7064 should be good to 550bhp on a well setup engine doesn't it?

Why is there so little known on these? I've found multiple posts on the net of Geoff (full-race) saying he has seen lots of great results but i can't find them. It's all 7670 and 8374 they talk about
