Started getting the bits for my new Loom from RS Supplies & VWP & have already modified the existing CDI Loom to take into account the different way Emtron fires the coils to Autronic. Waiting now for my front Harmonic balancer & new Pistons both are several weeks away so not much to progress at the mo.

Will be going to RR session tomorrow an Evo running a 9180 will be wound up to 2.5 bar. Should be over 760 on pump maybe as high as 800.
This will be a good indicator of what mine will make although we may push mine harder & use the bigger housing. Will report back on this.
Now im using Emtron the EFR turbo speed sensor can feed direct into the ECU & control the Turbo Speed.

The madness is a mod moved that thread to 'Other Marques' so it would not be found easily. Look at GD & see the topics about all types of cars but a thread about a MAD engine cant be allowed in GD . Remember Mark is not a trader on here & never will be . No point complaining about bias mods its a closed shop.

Please Rod for the sake of genuine interested followers of this thread and any new comers dont spoil the updates for them because of an issue close but non related to be quite honest mate. . The other thread you mention is just that and is totally seperate from this one surely?

Ive taken the Autronic Loom from the Cossie, measured it & drawn the Emtron version onto Auto-cad.
The Diagram is now complete & Ive allocated all the functions we will use at this stage im sure Mark wants lots more but ive decided to get the car running before fitting more functions.
The monitoring of Water Pressue, Turbospeed , Drysump & Sticking Throttle
plus Dry sump & Diagnostic warning lights are new functions as i now have lots of extras on the Emtron. Another 20 input/outputs will terminated on connectors to allow future expansion.
Need the bare looms here now as im geared up to build this new loom but delivery is 3/4 weeks away.
Dont want to get too technical but this list gives the allocation of functions .
Showing Auxillary, Analogue & Digital inputs.

I would really have expected to see DBW on this by now Rod. Any reason for not using DBW?

As I posted in the previous thread or was it the one before?
E-Throttle would allow you (Mark) to implement a rev limiter without the harshness of a fuel/ign cut
Project looks good so far rod when you mentioned so many I/O's I assumed it was an AEM Infinity

Have started to research dbw & lots out there for single throttle bodies but the trend seems to be to stick or return to cable for ITB's.
However my pals at Jenvey do have a multiple body system with a large motor. Its not available at the mo but will be in a few weeks time. I asked if it would fit my application & they said we will make it fit .
They dont make the pedal assy but many do. Im looking for a pedal from an existing car & spent time today with a Sierra pedal & Google images .
Ive bought what looks a good match on ebay for Ł9.50 from a Peugeot 307 if it fits it will work & i will buy a new one .
The Jenvey is different to other systems i looked at.
Will i do this im not yet sure but at least i will know what im not fitting if i decide against it .

I have 4 throttles to control because im using ITB's think the Mustang has a dual set-up.
At this level everything is a ball ache & dont come cheap its just a case of at what point do you say thats as fast as i can afford to go.

Im now getting to grips with this DBW lark & its very interesting. Now know i need a 6 pin pedal assy not a 4 because safety dictates separate sen. grounds & 5v on modern units. After further talks with Jenvey im on for a good deal they have given me great deals so far & said we will see you right. They have had a unit in a race series last season so its fully tested. They suggested i contact OBP for a pedal solution. Contacted them & have details of a pedal with 6 wire pot so thats another problem solved. Adding up the prices the parts will be less than Ł800 & ive sold Ł900 worth of parts I dont need this week so its not from the cars budget.
It would be nice to know if a YB has been done DBW before im sure it has but dont have any details a look at anyother solution would really help before I decide .

I'll try and find out which one 2 friends use, it uses a cable to go to the pedal position sensor which would be much easier in terms of keeping your existing pedal. It was off a renault of some sort if memory serves me correctly

Rod, my car has had DBW for the last 3 years, you dont need to use 6 wires (2 x pots) at the pedal, but you must have feedback for hystersis if control.
I cant believe its taken so long for others to even look at it.
The throttle control is much better and gives more mappable control strategies.

I can believe it . Ive not even thought about it before this week. Mark has done it on other cars & ive wired them in but not on a Cossie .
My old girl is still a 25 year old Ford that happens to go fast never thought of putting up to date functions on it please remember the driver is an old fart not a young buck .

Rod,
Just be careful with some of the French manufacturers (Citroen/Peugeot), they have a habit of using inductive sensors rather than linear pots on the pedal position sensors.
I found that the VAG range offer some good solutions. Alternatively, AP Racing have recently released a DBW pedal box with an integral PPS if the project extends to braking system revisions.

Alternatively - I looked at these a while ago, not tried one so can't vouch for them, but might be a consideration if you're struggling:
