The chamfered edge is to guide the belt onto the gear if it tries to stray off the gear.

So just to be 100%

The outer edge should be closer to the slamp panel than the inner hole for bolt to go through?

It should only go on one way without touching the belt, it should be obvious when you put it back together

As my belt has moved from the very front of cam pulleys to a 1mm or 2 over the front edge.and all other cosworths ive had the belt just sits at the edge

Make sure you time it up properly as alot of people do it wrong

Most people think they are timed on the slot but it should be timed of the peg on the bottom pulley

Fantastic, just done mine today going by the Ford manual, then got worried after i moved the dizzy pulley? then moved it back so it aligns then the manual said it should line up on the front but couldnt find any markings and mine is exactly the same as these, I can stop worrying now.

Needs turning clockwise 1 tooth. If the distributor doesn't line up perfect you can rotate it's body to line the scribe mark up
