Simon never came so nothing got done but today I finished work early so when I got home I took my Boa thermostat housing and 2wd cossie thermostat housing down to my cousins workshop to cut modify to be re welded, also spoke to my uncle who told me step by step how to check my injectors and injector loom so once I'm home I will have a go.

Then took to my mate Dave the welder but he had gone home early so looks like Monday now.
Once I got home I then turned my attention to the injectors, I followed my uncles instructions and low and behold found them all too be blocked. I continued following the instructions if I found them to be blocked and it worked they are now all free bar 1 injector, it was too late to test/check loom so will do that tomorrow!

Today I removed the completely blocked injector left it too soak in injector clear for 10min then started to give it a 24v alternating pulse all ok now refitted tested injector loom all ok so fitted new inlet manifold (plenum) gasket and put engine all back together! Now just waiting on Monday to get thermostat housing welded then i can try engine and need to run her up to temperature with engine flush! My mate Aaron(bangerboyno1) also tightened up a few bolts and started to remove all the egr shit as i have decided to get rid of it now, also made a start on the wiring behind the dash fitting new plugs. Will post some more pics tomorrow...

A 24v alternating pulse on the injector? I'd be careful, they normally only get 12v, so don't burn them out!

Yes all was/is ok for now it didn't look to good where wires come out of plugs then bend back on themselves so I think I will get someone to make me a braided heat protected loom for it in a few months.

Any way today as soon as I was up and had dealt with my 1yr olds breaky etc I cracked on with car had to carefully drill out an old radiator bolt that snapped on removal I then fitted my Pace rad and partially piped up with old hoses as I have SfS silicone ones coming and got to dig out and fit my water swirl pot and weld thermostat housing.

I then turned my attention to the messy ECU loom behind dash with dash removed it was pretty easy I cut out old plugs as some of them had dodgy connections and used new water resistant plugs, just had my roast so may refit the dash in a bit if not I will do it tomorrow after work.

I did a few weeks back for about a minute (I had changed plugs and sprayed petrol/redex down bores as engine had sat then sprayed easy start in filter and bang she fired and ran for about a minute), but no not since I have sorted injectors and loom etc Ade said it will be ok to do so for 30 seconds (as there is no water in car hoses not all connected) I am going to wait untill tomorrow or Tuesday all I need is thermostat housing welded then its all good!!

And yes I have thanks bud, all that's left to do is as follows,

Fit my new twin 12" kenlowe fans-DONE
Fit my water swirl pot
Collect and fit my adapted thermostat housing
Refit prop
Refit clocks
Fit fan switch
Run engine up to temperature with engine flush

All should hopefully be done by this weekend or at least the majority of it.
