Just noticed today, I could open boot with central locking on. I checked the actuating mechanism in the boot lid, and the plunger is moving forward and back ok when drivers door is locked. What normally goes wrong here - any advice appreciated.

if its a 2wd the button sticks in alittle bit and stops it locking try putting key in boot lock and pulling button out and then see if it works

im 90% sure this would be the problem if so easy fix

Had a look at my boot lock this evening. Push buttom definitely coming out fully and free. Ended up taking whole lot out. Could not see anything wrong apart from general wear in the various movement linkages. Cleaned it up and put wd40 on. Put back together, and got it to work- some of the time - but very hit and miss. Think need to get a better lock.
