On my sappy 4x4 every time the fans cut in it blows the 30 amp fuse in the fuse box any suggestions

either the fan is knackered, or you need to rewire them, as the wires can get really hot if they have to much current passing through

Well when you put a new fuse in the fans come on then the next time it cuts in it blows again it's only just started happening

You need to rewire them, the wiring was substandard when new leave alone now, it's a disaster and can end up causing a fire!

The actual problem most likely is a short, I don't think the fans will be causing the problem!

If you do a search of the subject on here, there is plenty of information and diagrams etc for the rewire, the loom is either DIY or you can buy pre made ones!

This along with the fuel pump wiring are two chronic weak points!

Cheers mate I've ordered a new loom re wire from msd today do you no if it's a simple job to fit

Easy to fit mate, basically just uses the fan switch wire as a trigger for a relay, then you have a connection to battery +ve & -ve, then to fans.

Well my new loom arrived today and it looks straight forward just hoping the sun comes out one day so I can fit it cheers for your help people
