Dump valve install question
Hello!as i say yesterday i bought a near new baileys dump valve for my sapphire cosworth 4x4.I install dump valve on the same place as stock BOSCH valve. Then i test it and bov sounded like a flutter
Check this video
on 5:30 to sound. It sounds same as mine!
So i want to ask what is the problem? Is my bov's spring weak? Why when you buy an aftermarket dump valve for cosworth you must install it before the throttle body?
Maybe has lower pressure and works better than the standard place?
(my dump valve is Baileys DV26 working on 1.5 bar on T3 with standar intercooler)
Please help
Thanks

Not sure, normally atmospheric D/Vs are installed before the T/B, but I guess in theory it may work in the inter cooler (As that is where the standard one is fitted)
If you are getting "Turbo chatter" it would suggest the D/V is not "Dumping".
Have you connected the vacuum hose to your new D/V?

in theory it should work anywhere between the turbo and tb as your just releasing built up pressure,if the vacuum is plumbed in right it should work, unless the dump valve is faulty
