Just got my 3dr engine back from its re-build, I'm in the process of putting all the ancillaries back on it. Just looking to re-fit the dizzy but don't know if it has to go in a certain way, I know the sprocket beneath it needs to be lined up a certain way but what about the actual dizzy drive itself? I'm converting to wasted spark too if that makes any difference to how its fitted.
Thanks!

Normally with lug next to cut out on crank pulley aligned with indicator lug , set dizzy so rotor is pointing to fastening clip near the plug on side of dizzy , once dropped in at that turn until dot on rotor is inline with little dash cut on dizzy , not sure about wasted spark . Have you got workshop manual ?

Yes it does make a difference as the phase sensor input is used for wasted spark as well, otherwise your timing will be out.
I would assume that with the engine at TDC it has to go back in with the rotor at 2 o clock, it will also line up with a hole in the dizzy at this point, you should also have the aux pulley timed up correctly.
