Stage 1 generally a std map sensor.

Remove it and check the part number. I can't remember which way round it is but iirc the part number for a 3 bar is **/05

It should be mounted to the inner wing. To the left of the header tank, upside down. 3 x 10mm bolts hold it in. I'd say yes to see part number. But if you know who's chip it is. Just give them a shout and ask if they fit a 3 bar. I very much doubt it.

95% sure it'll be standard

Pretty sure the genuine weber 3 bars have a grey top and the standard ones are black. But as AJC says, best to check the part number to be 100%.

This sounds dangerous!

I assume your boost has been adjusted?

If so then there is far more involved than just changing the MAP sensor, namely a remap and injector changes etc.

Going by what you have said you may be heading for an engine meltdown!

hi martin. I put a post up about it a while ago which u commented on. There was no pre load on actuator and i was down on power. Just need a new chip to take into abount voltage chance between standard map and 3 bar one iirc. Injector are still within safe limits

Oh right, tbh it's going to be more a custom chip as typical stage 1 uses standard hardware.

Yes different map sensors have completely different scales so you would need a chip calibrated for it as such AND for the amount of boost you are running.
