Default Diff mount all fitted

Well after some messing about with the bolts i fitted the new diff mount i got from msd, took the car out after just to make sure it was all ok

From getting in the car it felt higher at the back and alot more SOLID, got a few miles down the road and i must say its makes such i differnce to the feel of the whole car . A must have /fit for £120

Next up is to get some new springs ,as mine look like they have sat on the bottom of a river for 26 years and why i was under the car i noticed my rear anti roll bar bushes are falling apart so i will get both items during the week ready for next weekend.

But all in all im happy

Mine has countersunk bolts so shouldn't foul the roll bar

I can't wait to feel what my car is like when back on the road

I think i have to get back under the car and adjust it as the washer the sits between the mount and the diff has a 3mm gap and it dont look right , maybe i didnt cut the bolts short enough , so ive gone and got 6cm 7cm and 8cm to see which ones fit best .

Not a dig but maybe it may be worth looking at the bolts you supply for ones that are the right length it would say a bit of messing about .

But again a nice item for £120

As I said above I fitted Diff, Gearbox & engine mounts & have not really noticed any increase in noise or vibration, but needed to replace the diff mount top bolt to a countersunk bolt to clear the ARB,
You might be getting the noise/vibration from the bolt hitting the ARB whilst driving.

After having mine fitted it made the car feel more sat up and once the power is applied it all feels like its going into the road. My saph felt soooo vague before this upgrade. Must get them countersunk bolts too.

Do you feel a lot more vibration through the car? I'm thinking of taking my MSD read diff mount and rear beam poly bushes off as I think these are the cause of the vibration.

I think the roll bar bushes will only worsen the vibration mate. I'm de polybushing my car for that reason. The only ones ill keep are the tca on the front.

I took my solid beam mounts off due to noise, they do work well though.

Guess you 2 have better bushes fitted or your standard ones are still ok ?? I think as the diff has lifted about 2 inches now i need to also change gearbox mounts, as with most mods ,you change one thing and end up having to change a few other items too........

I was advised that if you go down the uprated Gearbox mount route you should also do the engine mounts at the same time so they have the similar flexibility/strength

Updated engine mounts yes, but leave the standard gearbox mount in.
