Default Cossie Fuel pressure check... and a problem

OK so im still going through the car bit by bit before I make the trip to NMS....

Today I linked in a fuel pressure guage before the regulator .... took the top pipe off.....reading under 1 bar

It did fluctuate a touch when the top pipe was reconnected which as I have read is expected. So went about adjusting the regulator to achieve the 3.5 bar it should be......could not get any increase in the pressure reading although could drop it however until it shut the supply completely, stalling the car.

So im thinking....

1. Blocked fuel filter?
2. Knackered regulator?

All advise appriciated.

Thanks
Huw
