What upgrade is there for 2wd saff antirollbar is the 4x4 better or anything else?
Rear bars - the 2wd Sapphire is 16mm, 4x4 Sapphire is 18mm (approx 1.6 x stiffer ), Escos 22mm ( approx 3.5 times stiffer ). All will go on a Saff using the appropriate sized bushes
Front bars 2wd Sapphire ( H14 ) gives you a degree more caster than early 3-door ( H13 ) bar. Don't know of any other options for front other than a bladed set up or a custom made one
For the rear there is also a 20 mm available (bug eye Scorpio) and a 21 mm (bug eye Scorpio 24v).
The front arb from a Scorpio 24v (not bug eye) is 29 mm thick (cossie is 28mm) and fits a Sierra. It's only a bit wider than the normal Sierra arb, so you will need a ratchet strap to get the tcas back in.

Good call Mark - do the bugeye Scorpio rear ones fit OK - someone mentioned once they're a slightly different shape and foul something? I don't know if that is true though?
Here's a pic of the 2 arbs. The lower one is the sapph 4x4, the upper one is the Scorpio 24v. The Scorpio 24v arb runs a bit wider around the diff, but apart from that they are the same. I think you shouldn't have a problem fitting it to a Sierra.

Just picked up a rear ARB off a Scorpio 24v for not much cash. Just waiting to get it offered up under the car and some poly bushes to see what difference it makes.
Currently running the 22mm Escos rear bar but I've also tried the stock 16mm and the 4x4 18mm one. This Scorpio one is exactly 20mm diameter according to the verniers
did you notice a diffrence using th escos rear bar if so is it a big diffrence
Hi Jim
The standard 2wd Sapphire rwd rear arb is 16mm diameter.
The Escort Cosworth one is 22mm diameter and is 3.57 times as stiff as the 16mm one so I think you would notice it all else being equal.
I read that Mike Rainbird had one and recommended it so I thought I'd try it. I certainly noticed the difference on mine immediately. It feels very stiff at the back as you turn in and it seems to make the car feel much "pointier" although it did 'seem' as though the car was trying to skip over bumpy sections mid-corner.
Tony Mannock from Turbosystems suggested an 18mm ( 1.6 times stiffer than standard ) rear bar off the 4x4 Sapphire was a better option on the 2wd Sapphire if you are not intending JUST dry use.
This 20mm one ( Scorpio Ultima 24v rear bar ) is approx 2.44 times as stiff as the standard 16mm so I'm hoping it will be a good halfway house for the bumpier roads round here.
Just waiting for new bushes and then I'll fit it and let you know
The 20mm ones are cheaper and easier to get hold of compared to Escort Cossie 22mm ones in my experience
