ive a problem with car that when it gets warm say in traffic or if you leave idling for a while car starts to splutter and run bad and eventually cuts out.if left to cool for 10 mins its fine again or if you get clear road its fine .i suspect its overfueling but am not sure.ive changed all sensors and no change ,where would i start to look for problem

i had a escort cossie one time and it did the same, it was a wireing problem to the fuel pump , it was over loading or something, when it was re wired it was fine.

thanks steven

time to fuck that pump out my friend, or at the very least vheck all the wiring as stephen has suggested, last thing u want is a duff pump at 7000 rpm melting a piston or two

A local rally man should be able to sort out that kind of fault and check your fuelling. Mapping of the weber marelli management can only be done in Great Britain

Had a similar problem a few times with cossies and escorts, worth checking another coil, gpa one if you can borrow one.oil in old can type ones overheats and fucks up spark/voltage.
As said worth checking pump for voltage at pump and flow rate, disconnect return pipe at regular and run into container ( just be very carefully obviously )

I have a spare pump and coil if you wanted to go fir a spin....
