Default FAO Stu or James - Failed MOT - Emissions

Just had my Saph in for test and it failed on emissions, CO 7.2%, lambda 0.794 on fast idle. Normal idle CO is 5.5%.

Car has closed loop so shouldn't that keep the emissions in check. Hopefully Stu or James will see this

Anyone else had similar problems?

Cheers

Rob

That's very high indeed. I'm sure there will be a reason for it

Yep, I know I have a problem

Just need to work out what the problem is, lol.

Wasted spark and closed loop was only fitted last summer and has hardly done any miles since.

Cheers

Think I have a new spare CTS so will swap that and see if it helps.

If you unplug the lambda sensor, then what happens with emissions/lambda?

No mate, it is on the shopping list though

Got hold of a CO analyser so going see if I can narrow it down. Have a few spare sensors to try if needs be.

Spoke to James at MSD who gave me a few suggestions and offered to check it out if I could get it there.
