Default Fan Rewiring question

When rewiring cooling fans where or how do you usually connect to the fans themselves. I think from memory mine have a half male half female type plug on each fan and another further down the loom for both fans. Can you get these plugs or do you all cut them out and connect to the wires directly. Also do you switch the relays from the original fan feed via its original relay or ditch all that and switch straight from the radiator switch. Intending to wire in two separate relays - one for each fan.
Thanks David

Use 2 new relays from the fan switch. The old relays/wiring are the main problem in old cossiesfan wire looms. There is a diagram on here somewhere if you use the search engine on here. And use any type of male/female connector that has the amp capability an you'll be fine.
Or buy the MSD rewire kit. V good.
