Always thought this was dessert storm and the White surviving one was snow storm? I hope this got saved as it has a huge history, although I prefered it when it was crystal blue standard body with 16" revolution rfx's.
theirs a pic of the white one on here somewhere with 3 spokes and looks like 2 massive calipers on each front wheel.... looks pretty cool even on the 3 spokes..
Yeah, the engine out of Kevs Escort is in my sapph, I dunno wether it came out of that sapph originally though, although I do have the sump and turbo from that car on my engine, I do know that much lol

I'm sure your engine, please correct me if I'm wrong!, kev purchased from Martin hadland it was in his mondeo then his escort, kev put it in his 3 door and took the top speed record on standard wheels, then put the engine in his escort and run low 10's then put it rwd red escort cos, may be wrong mind! The dessert storm engine was in dov boys on here White saff for a while until it got broke. The engine was on here for sale a few years back not sure what happened to it after.

The engine in Kevs rwd Escort was a Turbosystems engine which I'm sure had been in most of the cars he had owned through the years from what I remember reading on the forum.
I remember seeing this car down at Turbosystems back in 98 i think it was, i wasn't massively into the scene back then but i had never seen anything like it - still would look good on the road today

My engine was originally a Turbosystems engine, I know its definately not the one Kev used for the top speed run, but it is the one that was in his blue or green escort which did a 10 second quarter, and then was later in his red 2wd one. As far as I know, its the same engine dovboy had in his sapph too, before I bought it it had a lot of money spent on it being refreshed, new crank, rods etc. I'm reliably informed that it's also got the sump and turbo of desert storm on it, although I don't think its the actual engine from the car.

On standard wheels . He used Martins rear wheels on the day, he did however have standard brakes. He was claiming 511bhp(fly) back then & held the rwd record for a short period at 183.0mph.
I have the feature rod and there's a few pictures of it with standard wheels during the feature where it cracked the top speed record, but not sure or don't care really what it did when he done the actual run.
Also have a feature on the mallard escort that run the 10.3 second pass and it says engine out of his 3 door with a shot of gas.
the exhaust the kit the head lights and the colour ruin it lol
The kit i like, apart from what looks like a lotus carlton front bumper grafted on, with a standard item, possibly diff colour, new exhaust and tow bar removed it would look good.
