Default My car "FARTS"

I know I have a boost leak, cos I have a farting noise, but 'tis hard to have a look under the hood when its going full chat. So if I make up a blank to go in the intercooler hose and fit a tire valve in to the blank I can pressurize it up to my boost level and find the leak. The $64,000 question is should I take out both camshafts to close all the valves or is there a position on the engine, namely TDC, which would close everything. I'm thinking that because the valves are rocking at TDC are they truley shut?

you have the right plan
just set engine to tdc, swaged blank for turbo inlet but use the amal valve pipe on the turbo compressor to pressurise the inlet system

Would I be better to take off the cam belt because you know when you are timing the engine at TDC you always have to turn one of the cams slightly to get the belt on and at TDC the valves are rocking so by taking off the belt it will close the valves properly
