Default 4x4 saff ferrodo rear pads fitting

Hi just about to fit the back brakes back on my car and have got some ferrodo pads to put on, as the pads come with clips on the bottom of them, im assuming i get rid of the clip thats already on the caliper, or have i got it totally wrong?!! They say racing on them, not sure if that makes any difference?
Cheers Tom.

Cheers for getting back quick. Ive not got a camera handy but if you look at this link, its a pic of the caliper, at the top its the silver bit in the middle of caliper, thats the part i think i need to get rid of? because otherwise it stops the clips on the new pads going through and securely fitting?

That bit should be loosely riveted to your new pads. Not attached to your caliper in any way.
