Default Getting used to stage 3.....

I'm getting used to stage 3 power in my 2wd saff.

Where shall i go next to feel the excitement of lets say another 50-100 bhp?

Mine made 301bhp @ Reyland on a T3, greens, exhaust, filter and cooler.

Cheers Billy

Well I have just fitted my new MSd stage 3 setup today, and its feckin awesome. Scared the shite out of myself a few times when it started to drizzle.
Mines on new 803's, 3bar, T34.48 and a 4x4 cooler. Ive kept the boost down a bit at 22psi just until I get a 500 cooler, but I have to say its plenty quick for me and very punchy.

Gunship is for standard everything and only advisable on a very good condition engine Gives about 300bhp if you are lucky.

T34 would be the next step as that will become you next obsturuction, I would look at Siemens 55LB, rather than the Bosch range.

No, standard pump is ok.

Nms also do a gunship on greens and t3, more power and torque than standard gunship. Think it hits about 2 bar in the midrange.

T34 with -31 atchuator and .48 rear housing, keep it nice and easy to spool up on the small roads but still lots of power on the motorways.
get a bosch 044 fuel pump ( a must if you want more power, you need that fuel pressure up to the injectors, not worth blowing engine because of low fuel pressure for sake of Ł120) and as for injectors either siemens 55s orrrrr set of bosch light blues, or over 350bhp then you will want greys. maybe think about a cam just on the inlet side bd10 or 12 to keep the engine breathing well.
And you will need a 3bar map sensor if you havent already got one. and possibly a uprated rad to keep temps down .

that will give you a good 350-380bhp with baggsss of tourque!

Cheers for the input lads.

I'll be looking into a T34.48, 004 pump and some 55's soon

Also, I know T34'S are tried and tested etc but wouldnt a gt30 be alot better ro would that just be over kill?

Cheers Billy

You could go internal gated gt30, however std head ports may mean abit of surge. careful mapping and boost control an you maybe ok though.

But ...from your original post - id still stick to my first recomendation, an spend your extra spare cash getting the handling sorted spot on.

Standard cams are good for around 400HP, thus it's pointless imo of changing them with a T34.

Radiator is fine, you may want an uprated, aka RS500 style intercooler.

Siemens injectors all the way.

I don't really know what advance the GT has, unless it's a roller bearing etc, else I can't see what the advantage would be? Plus I don't think it's as simple as swapping turbos as the downpipe is different from memory.

How long you keeping the car for and how much you going to tune it? If your bored of stage 3 already then forget about t34s and worry about your brakes suspenion inlet and cooling systems clutch / diff then go gt30 and put some real power up it

Good question. Not really sure how long ill be keeping the car, just feel like 300bhp is a bit slow and boring. Ap 4 pots 330mm upgrade is defo needed as the standard brakes aint exactly reassuring lol!

im running t34.63, 500 cooler, black 55s, abo7 inlet cam, msd chip, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, 044 fuel pump, breather system, peak boost is 33psi holds 28 psi running a good 400 bhp
AND A BROCKEN GEAR BOX as james @ msd said it would do at over 380bhp mt75 crap ,in the middle of 2wd conversion
would recommend a breather system at 350bhp or over

yes they are good for 400bhp, but a cam on the inlet side helps pick the tourque up nicley and will give you a better mid-range response but its not necessary , as for the radiator, everyone knows what happens with a cossie when it gets hot, so if your thinking of investing in a power and boost hike, its always worth investing in something that will keep it running cool with all that heat. and hes already got his intercooler.

What clutch you guys use when power exceeds 300 bhp, is that roughly the limit for stock clutch? AP 6-paddle seems to be common. Nice engine to tune in 4x4 Cossie, but the powertrain...

thing is thats not really a stage 3 setup, Its only running 18psi, which is closer to stage 1 boost setup using 803's instead of 355's.

If its a 2wd t3 with a standard 270 bearing then I can see why as thats to preserve the life of the turbo. Although hardly worth upgrading to a 4x4 t3 with a 360 bearing peaking at 25 holding 23 that makes for a great a road racer very torquey, my old 3dr spec.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sttlk...ky6DeXNg_cBhs=

t34.48/55 on an l8 using 55's @ around 28 psi is where its at for a great fast road spec.
