Default 3 door door mouldings

Hi guys how can I remove them with out damage?

The set on my car are really really good and I should be getting the car painted soon so want to reuse them

Would it be easier to just leave them on and mask over them?

hair dryer and get them nice and warm, fishing line in behind them, if you are going to peel them off pull them downwards not lengthways as you will bend them and they will never straighten again!!!

Yeah just take your time, the welding wire will cut through the double sided foam sticker rather than pulling them off. Mine are as straight as new just need to clean the excess tape of the back with white spirit.

Mine are off a saff but if yours are stuck on with that foam doubled sided stuff you should have no problems.

As mentioned above, i used fishing line to remove from my saph, worked a treat!

I used a sharp new wood chisel to remove the remaining foam off the back of them, was easy as the saph ones have a metal back to them, not sure if the 3d ones are the same???

Dead easy mate only took a few mins to do the whole car, the hot water really is the winner the tape almost falls off when it's hot just don't pull the mouldings. New tape is in all widths on eBay.

Good tips Ade

The 3dr strips as far as I'm aware were also metal lined too the repro ones don't and can be a little hard to fit as they stretch leaving overhang
