Default Water pipe from stat housing when running a T4 on a 4x4

Anyone have a sloution for this? (That doesnt involve buying rs 500/2wd parts).

Basically, there is next to bugger all clearance to attach the hose onto the 4x4 stat, and the turbo fouls the metal pipe and sqaushes it against the head.

I went to a local scrap yard and got some random hoses off a couple of cars that were andgled and have managed to get one that fits perfect round behind the turbo and doesnt get squashed, but the metal pipe is too long and the wrong shape, i basically just need a straight pipe to joint the hose from the stat to the heater matrix, I am planning to cut the origial pipe but I am worried it might leak since it wont have a flared end anymore, might just throw on double jubilee clips just in case but if there is anything else pipe wise I can use then please gimme a shout.

The 500 one is cranked so it clears the t4, maybe you could bend your pipe with a tube bender.

Did you manage to find a decent solution mate? Or is it just a case of knocking something up as close as possible?

Well as far as I recall I nabbed a pipe from a fiesta heater matrix in a scrap yard and also shortened the metal pipe, it’s lasted ok but I just took these pics today, I’ve been aware the pipe had been getting damaged for a while but on closer inspection it definitely needs replaced with something else, maybe with more of an aggressive bend.....
