Default cosworth na minor problem

im building a cosworth na engine basing it on a pinto for the bottom end and the problems ive got is now ive fitted the cosworth head the cambelt it seems isnt long enough so im wondering if the crankshaft belt drive pulley or the aux pulley on a pinto is of a different size to a cosworth one? or would it be something else causing me the problem?

cheers nick

Are you using the Cosworth belt or the pinto one ?

I would have assumed that the Cossie one is longer...

That and also the profile is different, one is square, where as the other is round.

yea was just a case of the belt not turning on the pinto crank pulley as they are different, im not silly enough to try using a pinto cambelt with a cosworth head fitted lol but was silly enough to think a cosworth belt would work with pinto pulleys, basically every pulley has to be cosworth if your using a cosworth belt otherwise nothign works, and so ive learned something new thanks for the replys

well this engine didnt go ahead in the end, the cams had been installed incorrectly each side and so on first turn every valve bent because of the timing with the cams being completely wrong, it was then stripped
