I remember, when I did my head gasket, I only did the strut brace bolts back on finger tight, then driving it for few days after, it somehow didn't feel right.... When I realised they were loose, it did feel better, same when I put the rear one on, but weather it was just in my head....
Especially when there properly bolted in, rather than self tappers, like they were when I first got the car! Lol

Front brace for sure
Rear brace needs to be triangulated to the floor
They were the only things holding my saph together went I stuck it into the armco as you could hear the shell creaking as the adjusters were unwound

From memory of previous strut brace posts, the better fronts are the ones that bolt to the side and the top of the strut??

the better ones would be those that bolt to the sides

but on some escos' i've seen, they also have a plate that goes from the inner wing to the other side of the strut top
