Default 2wd spark plug problem

Hi guys

I have a 2wd sapphire stage 3 running circa 350BHP.
About November last year I noticed quite a strong smell of fuel coming from the car. I had it checked over but no issues were found at that point. It blew a spark plug a day later(the one nearest the widscreen, not sure if its 1 or 4?) so I got a new set of 4xChampion Racing plugs.

About a week later the same plug blew so I garaged the car until the better weather to get it sorted.

Now its the better weather, im looking to get her back up and running. I know its hard to diagnose problems over the internet but does anyone have any ideas before I get it into the garage?

I thought maybe it was the injectors (currently 803 dark Greens) and was going to order a set but it could be a waste of £300 if thats not the issue.

Thanks in advance
Jamie

if it were me id buy some cheap standard plugs and if its drivable take it to a proper specialist.. it could end up costing hundreds replacing parts that people end up suggesting and still not find the problem or even worse cost thousands when it causes major damage..
good luck though hope its not too costly already..

Hi mate,

Sorry I just noticed your post I never got a notification about it.
I dont have a pic at the moment but ive still got the plug. the threads/tip were almost black and it was wet with petrol if that helps atall?

P.S. an update - I have ordered a set of siemens blacks which should be here tomorrow from MSD so ill fit both 071s and injectors and see how it goes.

Sounds rich on no4 .....

Just make sure you are not losing spark to no 4...

Where all the plugs the same condition ?
