Default 2wd saph running issues

After stripping the inlet from my car to clean it up, I have built it back up and run into a few problems. Car will start and idle smoothly but when I load the throttle at all, it dies. Car ran without fault before inlet was removed. Two other faults have arisen, amal valve doesn't appear to work (no click when reconnecting plug) and the dash clocks have also stopped working.
Checked all fuses and can't see any problems.
So the only conclusion I cann come to, is that I have disrupted a connection while taking the inlet out.
Any tips gratefully appreciated!

As said check the TPS (disconnect it and see if the Amal works)

The instruments are a totally different problem.

For that you want to be looking at fuse 22 (10A) assuming you have no warning lights as well, rather not the fuse but the actual connector if you try moving it, is there any difference?

Hi ,

did you during taking off the inlet disconnect the engine loom by any chance ?

There most of my runnign problems came from these big connectors.
