Default Sierra estate suspension

I have just bought a 2.0i dohc sierra estate. I have a complete rear axle off a 3 door cos and wanted to know if i can fit it to the estate. I have heard there is a difference but dont know what. If it doesn't fit can i fit the 3 door koni shocks and springs onto the estate rear axle? Do the front shocks fit the standard hubs or do i need to change them to cosworth ones? Any info on this is much appreciated.John

the rear swing arms are different so you can't fit anything to it

at the front you can fit all the suspension if that's all you are swapping as it will fit as a direct replacement (as long as it's for a 2wd coss and not a 4wd version)

What he ^^ said, also the rear shocks are concentric on estate models so you can't use change these to the ones you have.

Many thanks for the info. Does anyone Know where i can get some uprated rear shocks and springs for an estate model. I have been looking and they all say except estate. The reason is i will be putting a yb in this in the summer so i wanna get all the suspension and brakes done first. Also if there is anything else that i might have trouble with.
Cheers John

First thing you need to do is find out the bolt spacing for the shock as there are 2 widths and they don't always fit even though they will say they do

I have had a Koni yellow and KAW springs conversion with 75/45 mm. Suits the estate very well, dampers and springs are still available
