Default Standard Rev counter in 2WD Saph

Is there any reason for a 2.0GL Saph rev counter wouldn't work on my 2WD Cossie?

It reads about half what it should. before i take everything apart again and check the wire from the coil is there any reason for a stardard rev counter not to work on a Cossie with Dizzy?

Thanks

Yes as with any rev counter they are scaled, if you look at the bottom of the rev counter you should see as number, the correct Cosworth one has a C instead, denoteing it as such.
