Dead Turbo...
My reconditioned turbo is dead after only one day...
When i got back from the trackday i noticed that i was lacking power. Although it behaved very well on the track, in the end, i noticed it wasn't boosting properly and the spooling sound was different.
Opened the bonnet and found out that the bolts that connect the bearing housing to the exhaust housing had disapeared... Only the actuator kept the front of the turbo in place...
Result - Although i noticed it straight away it slightly Damaged the blades and destroyed shaft/seals...
The thing is I bolted them myself before sending it to the mechanic to put it in place and i know he rotated the turbo because i remember where i left it... He probably forgot to retighten them securely.
I'm so disapointed... A good mechanic is very hard to find here in Portugal and i'm afraid i'll get into a dispute if i ask him about it. He's been my mechanic for 10 years now and never failed me.
I think i'll just talk to him about it and play naive to see how it goes but i doubt that he will come forward to admit it although i'm almost 100% sure.

Braga is Awsome and Estoril is very cool too (used to be a F1 track). Although i haven't been there everyone says that AIA , the new international circuit of Algarve, is by far the best one.
The thing is that they aren't open to the public except in organized events. For you to be able to drive in them you have to be in a trackday that usualy happens once or twice every month.
Let me know when you come and i can try to find something for you.
