Adjustable strut tops - anyone seen these before

Adjustable strut tops - anyone seen these before
Got these the other day to try but not sure how the really work - to me they look like the just sit on either side of the standard metal strut on a Sierra which would mean the rubber boot would have to be removed which i wasn't sure is possible i haven't really ever seen many suspension set ups to tell.
Has anyone ever seen this design before - they were on a set of Bilstein C/O

I've not seen those before either kinda looks like you'll have to cut something to fit them.
And they don't look adjustable because the bearing doesn't look to be offset.
Not the best pic but I've got these on mine and they haven't got the rubber top mount bush

Just had a good look at them and the strut area and it looks to me that they do fit the way i thought - the thickness of the metal lip on the strut area is the same as the gap between the two parts of the top mount - as you can see in the pictures what i mean
So the don't actually bolt through the strut housing the are just bolted together by the two parts either side
