Default Saff rear tyre sizes on 18"?

What do you RWD boys run on the back with 18"?
I have a feeling my 205-40's aren't going to handle the new engine too well, so was thinking of upgrading, maybe to 225-35?
What you running, and with or without arch work?

Id like to get a 235 on back of mine, have rolled arches, but running coil overs and 6 degree beam and don't want them to catch!

I cant remember if its 30 or 35 mate.... 30 was more prominent in my mind for some reason. Might be 35 profile now you mention it as I think the front is 215 35 and the rears are wider but same profile, I only know this cos I asked her what size tyre she needed for the rear of her car and she took the size from a front and when I went to fit it realised the dozy moo has wider on the rears . I may be getting confused with my M5 as that had 35 profile front and 30 rear. If she's online she, might, be able to tell you

Thanks Chaps, 225-35-18 seems a tad limited for choice, budget crap, new kumho pattern (not a fan) or Mich pilot sports, but they are Ł145 a piece to me, f*%k that.

I have 235/40/18 on rear of mine Jimbo for several years now. Arches need to be properly cut back not just rolled & you must run standard ride height none of this lowering & destroying the handling shite. Have also run 225/40/19 on the road these will rub up in the arches on bumps.

The quote is Tom Ford on 5th gear to Tiff Needall after Mark Shead had just run 206mph in the wet.

I cant stand 215/35, the ride is horrendous i found on mine, and they cracked wheels, profile is just a touch too low.
225/35 seems to be the winner i think.
