Default Metal Water pipe issue with GT30

Has anyone else had issues with the metal water pipe that runs down the ex side of the head fouled by the compressor housing on large turbo's?

Whats the solution?

Is a common issue bud, cant remember how I sorted mine though.

Might be worth speaking to one of the tuners as sure they have fitted loads of these size turbo's

Sounds like a bit of pipe bending is in order.

If it is still bolted to the boss on the side of the head the you need to unbolt it and trim back the boss to gain clearance, I'm sure that's wha that'd to be done on my old car that was running a 2wd manifold.

Thought about that, what it ideally needs is cutting in the straight section and then rewelding in another position which.is looking like the only option but I'm worried about vibrations

could you not cut the water pipe that goes to the water pump then loosen the metal pipe off at the bulk head end this then twisting the bend of the water pipe toward the water pump then this should pull the metal pipe closer into the head

if that makes sence

Presume that won't be in the way of the small water hose to turbo or cooler?

The pipe is the only way it will go with the turbo fitted as the compressor housing is so big and close to the head as i'm not using a spacer block in the manifold due to space - the only other option for the bend is the cut and reweld at 90° anti clockwise
