Well im hoping my T4 would be worth abit, its done about 1000 miles since rebuild and about 500 since it had a new exhaust housing. 360 bearing and Mar-m shaft too.

Nothing definate yet, as i have a few other things to get before i can entertain more power but i just want to know my options!

You need to look at full car spec rather than the small details you have posted and also what hp you are after to be able to advice.

I have a GT30, 16 cam etc and i'm expecting mine to be on the limit for a usable road car - where beyond that spec you have already can you use to it's full potential, i know what you have is wild for the road but the next step your talking big HP and is it worth the massive expense for a complete re spec?

unless you do track

I will still be used on the road so dont realy want to be having a race engine spec if that makes sense. I was just thinking that a turbo change could release a few more hp ?

Well, a t4 is pretty identical in terms of out right power as a gt30, so the next step would be something gt35 sized (I wouldnt tell you to use one, but before Mark jumps on me, he would ) and really you need to be doing some serious work to make it proper, you could carry on with your STD rods and mahles?

Or, you could do a proper bit of t4 engine, nice pair of cams, up the comp ratio as that's too low, and a good inlet manifold, get it mapped and enjoy, were doing 540 t4 engines that are fantastic, and that's not too much cost to do that, the next step is

Rods are standard but the pistons, albeit it mahles, are aftermarket fordged ones with cut outs. ( its one of your old mans engines Jim

Is it a waples head?

A pair of cams in that and up the comp ratio would make a nice engine, infact similar to what I'm putting in my 2wd saff.

Other wise it's a case IMO of cams, turbo and inlet change but there's no real bridge turbo between t4 and something gt35 sized :/

Myself I would limit the stock rods to 550hp so I would either change the spec slightly and max out the T4, Or change the turbo and manifold to a BW 200SX.

If thats the limit of the rods then i wont be going much higher power wise as i dont want to be pulling apart the engine at the moment.

Currently on a 2wd exhaust manifold and an EEC4 inlet.
