Default Oil Pressure Light

Has anyone ever done away with the factory oil pressure sender and plumbed a seperate gauge in there instead?? I think by the time the dash light comes on its game over anyway ??

You can buy higher pressure switches that come on at around 20PSI IIRC, fit straight into the existing hole and use the existing wiring, so dead easy to install!

Im going to buy an SPA Dual Digital Gauge which lets you set the low pressure warning manually. So thought it would be pretty pointless having the factory dash one, unless its used by ECU for anything other than a light on the dashboard??

It was more to do with the hassle of trying to fit the SPA sender somewhere else. Mines a 2wd, it has a 'T' on the inlet side of the block but currently the dash sender and turbo oil feed are using them.
