Question T5 Tailshaft housing Part number

Hello Everyone,

I am here trying to find part numbers for the tailshaft housing or looking to purchase one with shifter. I am here in the states and I currently down to two Merkur XR4Tis. We have an abundance of access to T5s here. I only have 6 or 7 in the garage of various types mostly been destroyed by other people.

So I would like to know if anyone can provide the tail shaft housing part number to me or if you have spares I would be willing to purchase parts or complete. The issue with most of our versions of the ford t5s the shifter is placed toward the front of the shifter surround sometimes requiring material removal depending on your car.

So anyway help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Tony

Might be worth asking in the resto section as there are plenty of cars in pieces that could have the number visible.

Mark thanks for the suggestion. I found that I can get a housing here in the U.S. from a 300ZX which is a Non World Class box and have it machined for my use behind a mustang Z-spec box which has same ratios as the Cosworth Sierra.

I will change out the over drive to a more useable .73, .78 or .8 and make adaptor to use speedometer gear in the new location.

Great thing is the 300zx uses a ford shifter so my nice MGW mustang shifter.

For reference the Standard mustang shifter location is around 2 inches / 50 mm forward over the stock t9 position in my Xr.
